Move Rest Move
Pregnancy is an embodied experience of deep mending and total unravelling, desire for rest and urge to nest. It's a world of contradictions! Move Rest Move is designed to create balance within the paradox. No matter what your birthing plans or preferences are the tools that this practice imparts will be beneficial in all phases of your journey. We will explore movements to engage your body for strength and suppleness in pregnancy, labor, birth and beyond. We'll dive into the simplicity and power of your breath to encourage single pointed focus, and we will explore the deep sweetness of rest as a tool to navigate the spaces between all of the activity that swirls around this transformative moment.
Come prepared to move rest and move. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water for hydration. Partners and support people are welcome.

Our experience with Laura as our doula was more than we could’ve ever hoped for. We were initially on the fence about whether or not we wanted to have a doula present during labor/birth, but now I can’t imagine how we would’ve gone through this experience without Laura’s support. Laura’s calm presence really grounded both me and my partner during both labor and birth. She offered several coping techniques, gentle massage/touch, and words of affirmation. When our birth plans changed during labor, she was responsive and accompanied us to the hospital and stayed with us until our baby was born. During the postpartum period, Laura frequently checked in on us and helped me process and sort through my experience. We are beyond grateful for Laura and we definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a kind, warm, knowledgeable doula for labor, birth, and postpartum.
